The Clinic operates under the general direction of a Board of Directors. Current Board Members are:

Day-to-day operations of the Clinic are the responsibility of the Executive Director, Janet Call. Janet was primarily responsible for starting the Clinic in 2005. She previously organized two other free clinics in Virginia before moving to Greene County. In addition to her duties as Executive Director, she provides medical services as a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, and a Diabetic Counselor.
Several support staff assist the Executive Director and the medical staff, including volunteers and part-time paid staff. Support staff include Sara McLean, RN, MS. who provides nursing support.
The Greene Care Clinic is a nonprofit corporation registered in Virginia. It is an IRS 501(c)(3) organization, and contributions made to the Clinic are tax deductible. The Clinic also is registered with the Virginia Office of Consumer Affairs.
The mission of the VAFC is to support, strengthen, and advocate for member clinics as they deliver quality health care to Virginia’s low-income, uninsured and underinsured residents. For more information on the VAFC, visit their website by clicking here.
