A Chronic Disease Management Support Group for Greene County, VA

The Greene Care Clinic is hosting “Better Together” – a gathering of those in need of support as they navigate the challenges of a chronic health condition. We kicked-off “Better Together” with a five-week class hosted by the Sentara Martha Jefferson Community Health Group, and we are now expanding on the topics that Sentara introduced to us. For example, on May 23rd the support group was introduced to “cholesterol” - what it is, what foods are high and low in cholesterol, and ways to help you manage it. We tasted some delicious banana bread made without eggs or oil, and gave everyone a grow-bag, potting soil and a tomato plant to take home!
“Better Together” meets two times each month at Stanardsville Station (126 Main Street, Stanardsville) and all of our meetings begin at 6 pm. All are welcome and there is no charge to attend. Here is a list of the BETTER TOGETHER meeting dates for the next several months:
